The Creative Mind of
C. H. Knyght

Ok, so first and foremost, C. H. Knyght is a pen-name. It is a squashed combination of my actual name, Care Halverson, and my avatar name, Knyghtshade. I use it to separate my books, from my artwork; and because I like it and wanted to. It feels kind of like being a super-hero. Yes, I'm a nerd, but aren't we all? Imagination and creativity powers the soul. Magic is what we create. I am weird and unashamed.

I live on a, I suppose it's technically a hobby farm, next door to my family with horses, dogs, and my cat. My house is a library end-to-end. I have eleven bookcases and approximately 2k books between them. It's a number that steadily grows. I dread any future moving day. haha...

I was introduced to books at a young age with my mom and dad reading to me every night and then, when I was older, they turned me loose upon the librarians. I kept them busy. Being home-schooled, I was given leeway to choose the structure of my school courses. Even at that age I knew I wanted to write and dumped some of the hard mathematics (numbers and I don't get along.), and other courses to load up on college-level English and grammar courses. Honestly, I kinda hated them, but I knew if I wanted to write and be good at it then I needed to learn it. Writing is a constant learning process. It helps to connect with other authors and share knowledge and encouragements. I would still be sitting on my first draft of Nightvision if I hadn't found some of my writing groups on social media to hang out with. NaNoWriMo is an amazing challenge to undertake and defeat as well.
