Final countdown

"It's the final countdown to the holidays, and the release of Midnight Sands. Midnight Sands underwent a slight delay through the loss of a copy editor, but a fellow author friend sent me to one of her editors, and it's underway again. Aiming for an early Feb release at the moment. I am still gathering ARC readers if you are interested a reading an advanced copy and leaving a review.

I'm trying to sketch up more of the characters and world of Nightvision in prepared for Midnight Sand's release and eventually an illustrated box set once the full trilogy exists. I finally have a visual concept of Nakai's dyre shift. I'm anxious to finish it out and ink it one of these days. Juggling work, writing, drawing, and life in general doesn't always happen, but I try to take it one step at a time.

Nightvision got called out in a blog this morning, with a review to be shared there later. Check it out!

Every one of these gets collected in my happy place and spurs me forward through the niggling doubts. Somedays are easier than others. Today has been a good one, the main difference being the acknowledgements, from MK, and even a Christmas gift from one of my clients; I've worked with them for approx. six years but there's still days I wonder about my day job and if I'm appreciated for what I do, so a simple "thank you" honestly makes my world a better place. My word of advice for the season "Don't assume someone knows. Tell them. Even if they do know, it's nice to have it confirmed." Appreciation, love, friendship, tell them.

I appreciate everyone who follows my work, thank you for enjoying it. I wish you a Merry Christmas, and happy whatever holiday you celebrate( There's a few to choose from around).

One step at a time.

I did call this page intermittent blather for a reason... blogging is not my strong suit. I get lost in work and writing my next story. But, I do try to drop updates when I remember, or have something to say. I'm a bit more regular on fb, instgram, and twitter, pintrest is a whirlpool i get sucked into too.
Anyway, Nightvision Midnight Sands, is on approach, slow but sure. I am expecting it back from the last round of edits any hour now. After that it's down to proof reads. I'm thinking perhaps a Jan release. I'll set a date once it's been returned to my hands.

I've got two shorties floating out in the wind awaiting judgement. One to the OfWords series, teammates to the AHOW anthology I was previously published in. And another to Audient Void. *Fingerscrossed*

There's a steampunk tale in progress, it hasn't decided if it's one chunky book or going to need split yet. And I'm eyeing a couple of story contests for entry if I can pull of getting something polished in time.

So busy days. Not counting the holidays, which include about five birthdays in short order, counting my own (I'm gonna be thirty, have not acclimated to the idea yet.)
I pray for a peaceful month and New year for everyone.
